per IS:15796.
(8) Silencer
(a) Silencer No Yes Visual rule 120 and Visual inspection
IS10399:1998 parameters:
(b) Exhaust No No Punctional (i) Ensure no leakage;
Noise Test (ii) Secured fitment of
(dB) silencer;
(iii) Silencer shall not be
excessively rusty or
damaged;

as per IS10399:1998
(9) Windscreen Wiper
(a) Wind- No Yes Visual rule 101, Visual inspection
screen Wiper AIS-045, parameters:
Blades IS:15804 and (i) Ensure presence of
IS:15802 wiper blades;
(ii) Wiper blade shall be
in good condition.
(b) Wind- No Yes Functional rule 101, Visual inspection
screen Wiper AIS-045, parameter:
System IS: 15804 and (i) Ensure operation of
IS: 15802 each wiper arm(s) to
cover maximum area of
the windscreen;
(ii) In split type
windscreen for vehicles
other than three-
wheelers, wiper shall be
operable for each
windscreen; Wiper shall
be securely fitted.
(10) Dashboard No Yes Visual AIS-071 Visual inspection
Equipment (Part 1) parameters:
(i) Ensure secured
mounting;
(ii) Wiring shall be
insulated;

illumination shall be
